“buy” and “sell” option under creation of portfolio function

Hi guys, can someone enlighten me what does the “buy” and “sell” means when I am trying to add my purchased stock into my portfolio?

Hi,

If you have purchased the stock, you would select the “Buy” option as it means that you have a “Buy” transaction.

When you close the position, that is sold the stock, you would then create a “Sell” transaction.

With these information, StocksCafe can generate various numbers such as your P&L, amount of dividends collected etc.
