Different tax rate for portfolio

Hi Evan,

Have a question about the tax rate for dividends paid out.
I am able to define the WHT rate by individual stock, but is it possible to define a different tax rate for the same stock under a different portfolio?

E.g Portfolio 1 Stock A WHT rate is 30%, but Portfolio 2 Stock A(Same stock) WHT rate is 15%?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Oh… Hmmm… No, the current implementation is at Exchange level or Stock level. Not at the Stock + Portfolio level wor…

hi,

In my case, TLT has pay back the tax in Moomoo broker, and others stock still need to pay 30% tax for US stock.

I assume this is not permanent? Anyway, two options

  1. You can use dividend override to make it no 30% tax for the specific dividend payout

  2. You can set TLT to not have 30% tax rate (Use desktop and go to the bottom of this page) → Login - StocksCafe

Thank you Evan, it is helpful!

thanks!

because i was using it to track my wife’s portfolio, her brokerage account is held in a country with a lower WHT rate.
I had the same stock in my other portfolio too, but subjected to higher WHT rate.

any way around it? i can only think of creating a separate account for her lol.

Well. Another work around is use the same brokerage account/platform as your wife to save on taxes?

nope, due to residency requirements, cant use the same platform as her.

anyway, small matter, i will maintain a separate stockscafe account for her!
Thanks for looking into it!
