FB ticker change to META

After the ticker change, my portfolio has both FB and META - one is clearly a duplicate. How do update this ?

HI there, my account has both FB and Meta tickers. I did try to “split” the FB into Meta, but it didnt work. It is as per same, 2 entries.

Hi there,

What do you mean by it does not work?

I checked your account and it seems correct to me.

Note that what it does is to help you sell FB and buy it back as META.

Cheers,
Evan

yes, it didnt work, only half the FB stock was split into the Meta stock. the other half was stuck.

so I sold the balance FB stock and bought back as Meta, but all the dividend info was then lost.

That is weird. Can I suggest that you delete the transactions that you created in attempt to change FB to META and use this instead → StocksCafe
See this to learn more → One Click To Handle Stock Splits – StocksCafe Blog

Dividends information are not actually lost. Just that they are accounted under FB rather than META
