FX Rate for past transaction is not honored while calculating cash position

background: I used Saxo to purchase US stock in the past without opening USD sub-account, thus share amt was automatically converted to SGD at rate defined by Saxo.
So I want to capture this transaction in SC.

refer screenshot below where I add 2 transactions (cash deposit & buy)
while adding buy transaction, I can override fx rate, but when looking at cash transactions listing, it just do conversion using current rate.
by right, my SGD cash balance should be 20.5 instead of 218.42

Hi there,

Thank you for the clear explanation.

I believe what you are asking for is this -> https://stocks.cafe/friend/viewissue?issue_id=2128

Basically, now, I am withdrawing from your cash account using USD where it should have directly withdraw as SGD. So, the above issue should be able to fix this.

Thanks,
Evan

Hi Evan,

I read through the issue you sent, it is marked as Completed.
So just double confirm, are you going to fix something for this to work or I should log these transactions differently?

withdrawing from your cash account using USD where it should have directly withdraw as SGD

if system behave this way, then yes, this should fix my issue,
and just to be clear “withdraw as SGD” should be “withdraw as SGD at defined fx rate when user logged the transaction”

Hi Ethan,

Sorry, the issue should not be marked as completed. The last comment is still not fixed.

Yes, that is what I want to get done in that ticket.

Thanks,
Evan

Great to hear that you’re working to solve this, thanks much Evan
