General question and issues

Hi

I notice that for dividend projection you use for projected ex dividend date the same day and month and just shift the year by 1. But for projected pay date you use the projected ex date plus 3 weeks. Why you do not use the same methodology for both projected ex date and projected pay date?

An issue I noticed on a few of my holdings is that it seems that the announce ex date and amount of dividend is correct while the announced pay date is wrong and basically equal to the projected pay date. It is as if when upstream updates ex date and dividend it may actually leave pay date blank and therefore you fall back to projected pay date since no announced pay date is available. But in time an announced pay date will be published upstream but it seems that you do not capture that because in a way you already captured announce ex date and dividend and I guess you are not going to check again and again until announce pay date is published.

Is there any way to fix this? Is it possible to flag such instances? Once those are flagged would it be possible say weekly to go through those flagged and see if announced pay date is available. If yes then update announced pay date and remove flag. If not then just keep flagged until following weekly check?

For the user also to be aware could the announced pay date be shown in a different color when it is flagged?

Example can have a look at is SPYI.

Thx

Actually, this is a good question. It is because some announced dividends also did not come with PayDates. So, I just chose 21 days to fill it. In any case, for Projected Dividends, I suppose it does not matter. What matters is announced dividends?

We do always use the latest data from upstream whenever possible. It is automated.

I do flag estimated paydates with an astericks. No?

This looks fine to me in the sense that upstream did provide the paydates → https://stocks.cafe/stock/dividend/SPYI/shp+etf+trust±+neos+s%26p+500+h?type=xdetails&exchange=XUSX

Hi

I use the mobile version and I don’t see the Astérix.

For SPYI thé pay dates are not correct as seen on this link.

By the way also see some rounding issues for the dividends in SPYI.

Thx

Hi there,

For SPYI, the paydates are given by upstream. Not estimated by me.

Anyway, updated them! Thanks!
