Sudden increase and drop in portfolio value for no reason

H evan, I noticed that my portfolio value increased by a large sum in 2023 and dropped by a similar sum in 2025 with no clear reason. Could this be fixed? Cause it really messes up with calculation of my portfolio returns(gives me an unrealistic positive return in 2023 and a big negative return in 2025)

I have checked and I did not make any material transactions during that period that would amount to such a big sum. I’ve tried clicking update report now few times but the error still persists.

Thanks evan. I’ve looked through the debug page, but I cant figure out why there was such a large amount put in in 2023 and later removed in 2025.

On the corresponding dates, there does not appear to be any transaction that would account for these fluctuations.

I looked at it. Indeed something is weird. I would need more time though. Could not easily fix it.

Glad to hear you’re working on it. Would appreciate an update if something comes to light.

I took at my portfolio report again and there are these small spikes here and there in TWR. Not sure if this info helps

Hi there,

Thank you for waiting.

Cause: Somehow those days have additional currency (i.e. SGD) when it should not.
Solution: Just remove that currency.
Long term fix: I did add checks to prevent that but I am not 100% sure that it is due to that particular line of code.

So, if you still see this again in future. Please let me know.

Can I ask what you mean by removing the currency? As in delete a transacation?

Sorry for not being clear. I meant I have removed some wrong entries on my part. Somehow, got additional currencies added (which I also dunno why) and I have removed them. So, in case, they show up again, please let me know. Thanks.
