How is the tangible book value calculated in the screener?
Is it current assets - total liabilities?
Or is it total assets - total liabilities?
Or total cash+cash equivalents - total liabilities?

Hi,
Thank you for the question.
Tangible Book Value = Tangible Book Value Per Share x Shares Outstanding
Both “Tangible Book Value Per Share” and “Shares Outstanding” are provided by my upstream directly.
In their definition, Tangible Book Value Per Share = Total Net Asset Value of a company (book value) minus intangible assets and goodwill.
I hope that answer your question.
Cheers,
Evan
Thanks for the clarification!
I am trying to construct part of a Net-Net stock screener
Current assets - Total liabilities / total shares outstanding
