Hi Evan,
Unilever did a spin off (with stock of the spin off company) followed by stock consolidation. How will the update to the portfolio be carried out due to this event?
Thank you.

Hi there,
If it is not a simple stock split (or reverse stock split), needs to be handled manually by user or by me creating an event for it.
What happened? I need to know the details ![]()
Cheers,
Evan
There are 2 separate events happening; a spin off with share of the new company given to shareholder and a reverse stock split.
Please see explanation below.
Unilever separate Unilever Ice Cream Business to form The Magnum Ice Cream Company N.V (TMICC) in Dec 2025. As part of the demerger, Unilever shareholders will receive one share of The Magnum Ice Cream Company N.V for every five Unilever shares held.
After the demerger, Unilever also consolidate its shares at a ratio of 8 new shares for 9 existing shares.
I guess an option is to implement a reverse stock split for the stock consolidation and user to manual add in the shares from the spin off company?
Thanks for the explanation.
This is already there → https://stocks.cafe/stock/recent/UL/unilever+plc+adr?exchange=XUSX
Yes, you would have to do that manually as I just checked that TMICC is not listed in one of StocksCafe supported exchanges hence have to be Custom Assets.
That is for the ADR under USX.
For the stock (ULVR) listed on LSE, the reverse stock split is not implemented.
Will the reverse stock split be added?
TMICC is actually listed under LSE.
Thanks.
Oh, you mean MICC? I search TMICC can cannot find such tickers

Thanks for letting me know. Fixed → https://stocks.cafe/stock/recent/ULVR/unilever+plc?exchange=XLON
Hi Evan,
Thank for the quick action.
Yes, I was referring to MICC. Sorry, it was a typo.
I have accepted the action. However, i noticed that the dividends collected to date for the stock was reset to zero after the action is accepted. is this supposed to happen?
Thank you.
Regards
Hi there,
The previous dividends became “closed” dividends and is inside closed positions. It is because the way we handle this is to “close” the position and open new ones after the split.
So, yes, it is supposed to happen.
Cheers,
Evan
I assumed that. However, i was unable to see the dividend for the Unilever under my closed position. I had dividend from Unilever in pound. But my dividend of closed position for pound remained at zero.
This was also the case for my Shell stock when they changed their stock code.
Thank you.
Yes, you are right. It was stored in GBX. I have fixed that.
Shell dividends are actually in USD though.
OK. I see it now. Thanks for the fast response.
Yes, it is in USD for Shell. My mistake.
Thank you.
